Personal Achievements as a Freeholder

  • Developed Middlesex County Cooperative Purchasing Program which allows Municipal Governments to utilize the buying power of the County thereby reducing municipal costs for supplies, vehicles, electricity and gas. All 25 municipalities are now participants.
  • Created the first Middlesex County Board of Freeholders Newsletter which will now be published bimonthly and distributed Countywide.
  • Initiated the creation of a task force to address school violence issues and develop a County response plan. The next phase will be to develop focus groups around the County consisting of students, school officials, clergy, municipal officials, and law enforcement to address prevention and alternatives to reduce the potential of school violence.
  • Introduced Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as an environmentally sensible approach to pest control for all County properties and parks. IPM was fully supported by the NJ Environmental Federation and has now become a County policy
  • Promoted and expanded the County/Municipal Road Repaving Program which utilizes County road paving crews to pave municipal streets resulting in a municipal savings at up to 50%
  • Member of Middlesex County Children's Health Commission working to provide health insurance coverage for families unable to attain basic coverage.
