Since its conception
in 2001 Project Teddy has provided happiness and joy to over
5,000 children in various Pediatric Units throughout hospitals
in New Jersey. The expansion of such a project continues
to be an aspect that Prodigal Foundation is proud of. Hospitals
from Central Jersey have sent letters of appreciation to
all the Board Members and Trustees. Continuation of such
efforts is an integral part of our mission of providing children
with cancer pleasure during the holiday season.
Project Teddy has been able to expand due to the resourcefulness
of high school students and community efforts that have lead
to its continued success. It is through such commitment of
individuals that this aspect of Prodigal Foundation, Inc.
remains a catalyst in enhancing the lives of children with
cancer. |
“It is a wonderful thing you are doing, Your thoughtful
gifts will surely provide comfort and delight…”
– J.F.K. Medical Center
“Your gifts of “holiday bears” enlivened the
holidays for the many children in our Pediatric Unit, May
you be rewarded knowing that your caring donation brightened the
lives of many…”— Raritan Bay Medical Center
Annual Scholarship Dinner
The Scholarship
Dinner is the "cornerstone" of Prodigal Foundation, Inc. Each
year scholarships are awarded to local Middlesex County High School
Seniors based on an essay contest that they submit on how cancer
has adversely affected their lives.
Prodigal Foundation, Inc. is proud to be able to help these students
reach their dreams of pursuing higher education excellence.
Woodbridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Many
of our board members volunteered their time and resources to create
a “float” in the parade to promote awareness of Prodigal
Foundation, Inc. and to distribute candy to children watching
the parade. We received a letter from the American Irish
Association, Inc. stating the following:“Congratulations
on winning an award in the Woodbridge St. Patrick’s Day
Parade.
Enclosed is your engraved name plate.”Parade Correspondence
